Description
A normal render (Zoom = 0 as opposed to Zoom = -3) ofThis render took about 5 hours whereas the other took about 15 minutes. But I think you will see the difference.
The slight difference in appearance has to do with having to change the Zoom and the Scale. It is difficult to frame the image exactly like the other one, but I think it's pretty close. Plus, the postwork is not exactly like ther other. This one does not have as much contrast and saturation on the color, but that's also difficult to replicate exactly.
Original made in Apophysis 7X-9 (Zoom -3) and rerendered in Apo 7X 2010 (Zoom = 0) and postwork in Photoshop CS.

It took much time because of the zoom, don't use it only scale

The point I was making is that if you use a Zoom with a negative value, it speeds the render up, but you lose some of the definition. I never use a Zoom greater than 0, I only use to Scale to make it larger. But if you want to get a quick render, you can decrease the Zoom to -1 to -3 (the lower the number, the less the render time), Scale it up to get the image framing you want and get a reasonable render in a very short period of time. The Zoom = 0 took 5 hours to render, the Zoom = -3 only took only about 15 minutes. So, you're right, don't use Zoom to make it larger because a Zoom greater than 0 will definitely increase the render time - only use Scale.

I love the term "rainbow awesomeness". Can I use it in the future?

thanks for sharing both renders - it's enlightening to compare them!
I like the color/saturation of redux better (very slight difference) - did you adjust color, or is that from scale/zoom diff?
btw, LOVE both of them! your colors are always outstanding!

I like the other one more, nonetheless - its harder contrast gives it a certain 3D effect on the texture, which in my opinion is much cooler - though I just don't really know if this is really beacause of the zoom or a postwork effect...
