14 days before this scene, the female in the scene; Ivy, had given birth to the alpha's pup; Nanuke. Then, 14 days later in the morning, Ivy noticed her son's bulb was starting to grow out. He was timid, just like part of her mixed personality. She was excited, but then noticed a SECOND bulb.. he was an alpha. She grew fearful. She wouldn't be able to witness her mate, and son fight tooth and claw a year later from now. She grabbed Nanuke, and rushed out the den, trying to avoid being seen. She vanished into the bushes nearby, hoping to find a safe new home for her son.
