WHAT??? Two things in a row that AREN'T Transformers related!? Something must be wrong with me....So....I saw this movie yesterday....And my god, was it ever AMAZING!!! Definitely one of the better movies I've seen in a good while. I won't spoil anything since this just came out recently, but all I will say is that I would most definitely recommend it.
I honestly think this might have been the fastest I've ever drawn something....This big anyways....less than one day....man....Beetle took up most of that time though. Man, is he ever hard to draw....It also doesn't help that this is a fairly new movie so there isn't very many good references out on the web. So forgive me if I got something wrong....Kubo and Monkey came out alright though....And I think this might be my first time drawing a monkey....like....EVER. So I'm kinda proud of myself.
Anyways, this might also be one of the last things I draw in MS Paint. Well....last big thing anyways....I'd still probably use it every now and then for simple things, but I've been recently eyeing a different Drawing Software that is a bit more....fancy? I guess? And I'm contemplating on switching over to it...Not sure yet, but I guess we'll see.....

I just finished reading the previous comments, and just wanted to point something out. The "third" animation house to make claymation movies is Aardman. They're responsible for movies like "Chicken Run," "Wallace and Gromit," and "Shaun the Sheep." I used parentheses on 'third' because Aardman is the primary claymation user. Tim Burton and Laika use stop-motion, but are not limited to plasticene, silicone, and wire as "claymation" is.

Oh, thank you! We had a feeling that there was another one. I completely forgot about those movies....They didn't even cross my mind until now.....

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? WE NEED MORE TRANSFORMERS THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not 100% sure if i want to see that movie or not... i mean it looks interesting enough, but then again....
However, i do know that the skeleton monster that they fight is actually the biggest clamation puppet to day. That thing is actually really massive compared to the other puppets...
But yeah, two drawings back to back and not TFA, man there must be something wrong with you. XP

I KNOW RIGHT!?!?!?!? THE NEXT THING UP MUST BE TRANSFORMERS!!!! Or else I'll probably go insane......
I thought it was really good. So many feels....
Really? Wow, I knew that it would be big, but I wouldn't have guessed the biggest to date.....
I must be coming down with something. XD Oh! I got that new drawing software. So the next thing up, most definitely Tfa will no longer be pixels!!!

TRANSFORMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Huh... maybe eventually... it does look good in terms of animation...
Yeah, it's the biggest claymation puppet to date. And it has its own record now, but apparently if you go any bigger, it makes it difficult to control...
OOOOOOH! Congrats! i can't wait to see it then!!

Wow....Though I'm not overly surprised come to think of it. That's really the only claymation movie with a huge monster I can name off the top of my head....Yeah, probably. At least with the smaller ones you wouldn't have to worry much about it collapsing under it's own weight or something.
Thanks! Now if only I knew what to draw....any requests/suggestions?

The only big parts that come to Claymation are the background stuff, like buildings and whatnot, but that's the usual stuff that has to be big. The puppet was fully animatronic and that's what made it set the record. Hmm... most of the claymations i know of are Tim Burton related with the exception of Boxtrolls, Coraline and ParaNorman. And none of those had any big puppets in them... Jack Skellington of The Nightmare Before Christmas was the thinnest one i believe, like they didn't sculpt anything save for his head and minor details for his puppet. they just slapped small amounts of clay onto a wired frame to build him...
Well... i do have a request, but it's not really TFA related... i was thinking maybe you could do a concept for Evette??? I would really like to see how you would design her really.
But if you want tfa related maybe do concept art of Severin or Rook? And i'm drawing a blank after that....

Yeah, and that stuff doesn't have to move so it could probably be as big as it needs to be. Hmm...yeah, really the only ones I can name are from Tim Burton. I've seen Boxtrolls and Coraline....well...I could only make it half-way through Boxtrolls....did not like that one....Hmm...yeah, I'm not surprised Jack Skellington is the thinnest. I've always been amazed with how on Earth they could even position him without him falling over....I know there's a wire skeleton under them, but dang.....
You know, I've actually been wanting to do a concept of Evette for a while now. Maybe.
Hmm....maybe Severin. Though should he be in robot-mode or human-mode? I've always pictured him favourite his robot-mode and only using his human-mode when he has to....

Pretty much.
Tim Burton and Laika (Lainka??) i dunno, are the only two who commercially do that kind of animation. Is there a third one? I feel like there is a third one... Huh, someone told me that Boxtrolls was good... then again i didn't trust them because they called it a Tim Burton movie when it wasn't one... Coraline is the same animator that Tim Burton uses and i think Paranorman was also the same animator... and Besides Kubo i can't think of any other claymations...
Because Tim Burton has:
The Nightmare Before Chirstmas
Corpse's Bride
Frankenwienie
A little skit called Vincent
He did the animation for James in the Giant Peach
It also says that he did the animation for 9, but i don't recall if he was the director...
And that's about it, it looks like everything else is cartoon or live action for Tim Burton...
But yeah, i don't know how they succeeded with Jack Skellington, but it worked so, good for them. they probably had to use stilts or something to help position him without falling over....
Well i would LOVE it if you did. I've been trying but i haven't done too well considering my lack of drawing skills. i can't seem to stay consistent with it.
Hmm.......................... I think he would prefer his robot mode (which will probably end up black and red with a tiny bit of gray) over his human mode. Though he would probably only use it if he was in the labs or something. i don't think he would go out in public like that too often... Kat would probably make him be in human mode whenever they were in the apartment. I can see him in his younger years using it to avoid having to take baths. XD

Yeah, I don't think there are really any other studios that do claymation....I think just Tim Burton and Laika....Hmm....I wouldn't be surprised if there's a third one though....I kinda feel like there is....Eh, I couldn't really get through it...I can remember exactly why....either it just got plain stupid, or the story got boring....not sure which....
Hmm....I think out of those the only ones I've seen is Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas....I don't think I've watched the others yet....
I don't think he was the director of that one....I think he was the producer or something....Was 9 claymation? I can't remember...It's been so long since I've watched it....
Yeah....
Yeah, they got it to work, so they must have done something like that....
I think I just might. Thanks for the idea!
I guess the only thing I could suggest to help is practice, tutorials and other stuff like that....
Okay, noted. I actually pictured him mainly dark gray, to be honest. What about eyes? I could sort of see green, but I could also see something like purple....
Yeah, I don't think he'd use it in public. I would have actually guessed that he would in the apartment. Also the labs and at the base and stuff like that.... Not a bad idea. Genius must show at a young age for him. XD

Yeah, i wasn't too interested in the movie, i honestly forget that it was a thing in the first place, but Netflix has tried its hardest to get me to watch it... it was a weird premise wasn't it?
YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED FRANKENWIENIE!?! You need to do that, like, right now... It had a lot of cheesy horror movie references and it was great. The story was amazing, though sad, i will warn you now, but it was a great movie. They kept it Black and White in honor of the old 50's movies.
9 was a claymation, but i think they treated the final cut with a different rendering software i think that made it more CGI... But yeah, they had puppets for it and everything... But yeah, I think he was the producer for it... either that or he did the animation...
EEEE I can't wait to see it!!!
I've been trying, believe me, but i can't keep her hair style right, i keep changing it every time i draw her. THen the face always end up weird... i do have body proportions down. so that's progress...
Yeah, his would be green, but once again, his robotic form would have Magenta optics, just to torment Prowl. X3 I'm thinking maybe a darker green than Kat's...
There's more of a possibility of him being in his robot than not whenever he's at Salem Industries or at the base. Anywhere else he's in human form.
XD

Yeah, it just got painful to watch halfway through it.....
Hmm...I'll have to check it out as soon as possible then. Maybe it's on Netflix or something....I'll look around for it. Hopefully I can find it somewhere....
Ah, okay. I re-watched a few clips and I couldn't decide whether it was claymation or CGI. I guess all the effects kinda took away the claymation look to it....
I finished it yesterday and put it up. Not sure if you've seen it yet. That drawing program takes so much less time to draw with....And I'm hoping I at least got her design somewhat accurate.
Yeah, I always had trouble when it came to faces at first too....But at least you've got the body down.
Poor Prowl, everyone's gonna know his secret! 'Cause no one's gonna believe Scarlet and Severin got those optics from Kat....Though I guess everyone would already know before that....They're probably gonna find out about his optics at some point....But I guess that would just remind them. XD Hmm...yeah, I picture them a darker shade of green than Kat's....
Okay, I thought so. Yeah, anywhere else, he would kind of have to be in his human form. It'd be a little odd for him to be in his robot mode at school or something. XD

Ah... i see...
I wanna say it is... but i have no idea honestly...
I'm like 97% sure that it was claymation with just some weird rendering program... if it was a CGI then maybe i can't tell the difference...
Yeah, i saw it. It looks AMAZING! Thank you for drawing her!!!
Now just need to work on eyes...
Hmm... You could argue that's Kat's mutation could be a factor, though too bad no one would really see that because their robotic form should reflect their eye color in the human form. Prowl might have to come clean. I"m not sure he would admit once Scarlet reveals her optic color, but they would get suspicious. More so once Severin comes around. XD
He would definitely get some odd looks...

I'll have to look around.
Yeah, it could be either. I can't tell the difference either.....Sometimes it looks like claymation, other times it looks like CGI....
Thank you! It was my pleasure! Thank you for suggesting her!
Hmm...true....Yeah, it only showing in their robot modes wouldn't add up....I would've guessed that they would find out before Scarlet is born....I guessed at some point it would have gotten knocked off during one of Bumblebee's pranks or something....But if he doesn't, yeah, I think he'll have to come clean. Especially once Severin is born with it too. XD
Yep....

It didn't look 100% CGI to me, but it wasn't 100% claymation either, so... :/
No... Prowl gets a longer grace period, but eventually the truth will come out. Because i'm kinda tempted to have Severin, in some sort of snarky smart-ass mood, mentions that his father has the same optics, though i am tempted do something else.... so it might be before Scarlet...

Yeah....kinda hard to place which one....
Ooooh, having Severin let it slip when he's pissed off would definitely be interesting. Though I can still see it happening in the somewhat near future....
