Plagiarism...It is a big word for me to comprehen.
I saw Hotel Transylvania yesterday and I loved it. I was such a cute film, which tops my fav film for the month.
Now involving the similarities with Marceline and Mavis, there isn't that much nor is it any obvious...basicly, whats written are doodles. But hey, It's Samuel here we're talking about, when have I ever been serious?

((I thought about Finnceline while watching the movie, and marceline has a very tragic backstory compared to Mavis, but I still love both of these characters))

oh god, so I'm not the only one that caught on, lol. you hit every nail on the head for what i realized too.
I think Marceline is just jealous, cause in the end, Mavis' life gets better, her relationship between her dad gets better, she gets her zing and gets to go on adventures around the world with john.
And Marcelineslife is...okay, but she still struggling with her life, but i think its getting better since shes involving ice king back into her life, he can be her 'father?' figure...maybe

Record the actors voices
Soundtrack
And create the cgi animation and get all the kinks out
They probably had HT in the works loooong befor adventure time even thought about marceline character progresson

now that it's been brought to light, mavis' story does sound like marceline's life. the only thing missing is the ex-boyfriend who sold her prized possession for a new tool of the trade, and a hidden relationship with an old, insane third party.
