Yet another quick model, a turret primarily revolving around the number seven. Could've given it a luck-related name, but I liked this better (The seventh day, the day that God rested. Hence: God's Rest), esspecially with the wing-like missile pods.Random fact: It's often nicknamed the 'Sunday special' by the forces using it. The enemy tends to call it the 'Apocalypse Angel', because on a heat radar it looks like it's spreading wings just before it fires. And with 98 missiles on there it's usually over right after it does.

Raytracing is so much fun. Until you make huge models with reflections and refractions and skylights and hit render and you computer just goes 'FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-' and take 20 hours to render.
Yyyyeah, I try to avoid doing that now. There's a lot of simple ways to keep things down with the same effect. But by the time I'm rendering, I just get so lazy XD 'No, I can't be bothered making 5 minute alterations, I'll settle for a 3-hour render time instead.'

yeah if you do get huge render times try switching between scanline and mental ray, sometimes mental ray is a LOT faster
i had an animation (no joke) that had an estimated 30 years to complete, i put it on mental ray thinking yeah this will take about 500 years, and it did in in 2 days
animation was shit though. i never ended up putting it in my cad project as i found better ways of special fx that looked WAY better
