Its so hard to tell, but I'm going with female House Sparrow. The reason why is I can slightly see a dark stripe behind the eye. www.mbaker.co.uk/images/Local%β¦

Yeah, I've seen a few finches, trouble is they are a bit rare, or least hide well :>

I'm leaning towards a house sparrow.. The beak is matching in colour, and the plumage despite the colour of the shot you can see the natural striping on the face.

Could be, it's hard some times when the lighting is off it can change the colours hehe.

Looks like a female Goldfinch. Goldfinches are very dimorphic; the males are bright yellow with black markings, and the females are the dull yellow of this bird here. If you do have goldfinches in your area, you'll see the males, you really can't miss them.
