Because wyrd66 and Ningeko16 asked! 8I I AM BY NO MEANS AN EXPERT OF ANY KIND OF ANATOMY. This is just how -I- use shapes to build out a few specific characters and some pointers for building your own!i bet you can't find the point where i got distracted
I'm also fully aware this terrible tutorial only covers dudes. That's the only area I feel confident enough to give pointers in. peace.

Yeah, this makes sense anatomy/design-wise! Basically, there are two types of fat - where it's gathered mostly around the tummy so you get Havoc's diamon shape and where it's evenly spread around limbs too like with Maurice.

Eh, the way I see it, if your style is varied enough there's nothing cheater about it! Now samey anime, that sort of stuff - THAT's cheating!
Yeees it's a bit like like drawing rats (reliastic or cartoony) - rats are like 70% fluffy butts, there's no way to draw that wrong (I hope nobody gets offended at this because I love rats and have been keeping them for ages and they are amazing).
