Darcy is a little ball of sunshine, always ready to greet everyone with a smile. She enjoys meeting new people and making new friends. She's basically Tori's polar opposite. However, because of her happy-go-lucky nature, she tends to be far more trusting of other's than most, which is why Tori is extreamly protective of her. She easily misses the social cues that would set off red flags for most people.
Of course, she isn't exempt from negative emotions. She tends to wear her heart on her sleeve, so if she's sad it's pretty obvious. (And Arceus help you if you're the one who made her sad, cus then you've got a very angry Tori coming after you.)

Darcy had a pretty normal life in the beginning. She lived in uptown Castelia with her parents and older sister, Bethany. They were your typical family, living a pretty average, yet happy, life. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when she was ten. Her parents were out on a date night, coming home from a late night movie, when their car was struck by a drunk driver, killing both of them. Darcy was left in the care of her older sister, but Bethany had a hard time not only dealing with the loss of their parents, but also suddenly becoming her sister's gaurdian. Bethany dropped out of high school to get a job to support them, but it wasn't enough to afford the payments on the house, so the two were forced to move to a run down apartment in an inner-city neighborhood, Tori's neighborhood.
Desperate for companionship, it didn't take long for the girls to begin hanging around with the other kids in the neighborhood. Darcy was quick to adjust, happily befriending as many of the kids as she could, including one hot-headed strawberry blonde. She was always willing to help the other kids out in their schemes, while in her eagerness often not realizing the crimes being committed until afterwards. Bethany however, didn't adjust as well. She constantly found herself between jobs and began turning to drugs as an escape. This made it even harder for her to keep a steady job and she just kept spiraling downward. She was grateful when Tori eventually moved in with them, not because she was able to properly take care of another person, but because at least now she had someone to look after Darcy for her.
Then came the failed robbery. Thanks to Tori throwing a rock at the officer chasing her, Darcy was able to escape and make it back to the apartment. Where she waited, and waited, and waited. It wasn't until late in the evening the next day that Tori finally made it home. Tori sat her down and explained the situation she was in, about the PTI program and how she wanted her to come to Issho with her as Bethany had also been arrested and was being sent to rehab (that was a lie, but Tori didn't have the heart to tell her she was being sent to prison.) Darcy agreed to Tori's offer, and while she was sad to leaver their home behind, she was excited for what new adventure awaited them in a new region.

*Also has a Castelian (New York) accent, but it's not as pronounced as Tori's. The most notable thing she does is the r drop (pronounces her name as "Daw-see").
*Her natural hair color is platinum blonde, everyone kept asking if she dyed it, so she decided to actually dye it.
*She is pretty much blind without her glasses.
*She enjoys sewing, even though she constantly pricks her fingers.
*Sometimes she accompanys Tori on her explorations, most other times she stays at their apartment in Union City.
