Heheh, Medusalis. That's pretty nasty! Her expression makes her almost seem like she's alive, but at the same time she seems dead. The skin looks like it's dry and soft and would be really weird to feel. Also I like the neck wrinkles and facial structure. Good details there. And the broken horn and cut mane is a nice touch.
You know, if you had drawn almost any other pony, I probably would have been a lot more disturbed.

Thank you, thank you for this comment! I really like how you can "feel" the texture of the image. I'm glad you can recognize how she appears both dead and alive, I was trying my best to emulate Caravaggio's original, and it was quite difficult trying to find that balance of "living-deadfullness" (That's a new word!)

I completely agree, part of the reason why I picked her. Changelings and Medusa's and other mythical creatures kinda stick together rather well

This is actually very well drawn, but my GOD, is it disturbing to see Chrissy's head cut off like that 
But, as I said, still a nicely drawn picture, quality-wise. I will give it that.

I greatly appreciate your appreciation for my art for the sake of it's aesthetic qualities, it makes me glad (especially coming from the biggest fan of Queen Chrysalis) that you can look at it in that light and not in a negative connotation; despite what the image portrays I had no intention of offending or upsetting anyone.
