Description The new memorial images celebrating the lives of those who had brought us much joy on Saturday Mornings. You can check out the programs they were on and more at Saturday Mornings Forever .

Adam West was Batman for a generation, and thanks to continuous reruns introduced Batman to many others. While at first the role seemed to kill his career, he found a second one as a voiceover artist and by lampooing his most well-known role. On Saturdays, he embraced his superhero roots with the portrayal of The Gray Ghost on BATMAN: TAS, Captain Blasto on RUGRATS, the Caped Crusader on ANIMANIACS, the Galloping Gazelle on GOOSEBUMPS, Ernest Hemingway on HISTERIA!, and Dog Zero on THE SECRET FILES OF THE SPY DOGS. He also returned to the role of Batman for THE NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN and the final two incarnations of SUPER FRIENDS. He also took on a different role as Mayor Grange in THE BATMAN.

The tributes aren't meant to be all-encompassing of their career, but are rather focused on their Saturday morning roles. Fairly OddParents may have been rerun on Saturdays, but it didn't air original episodes on Saturday mornings (which is what qualifies a show as being a Saturday show).

Excellent!

He was the one to make Batman popular enough to warrant more films and tv shows.

In a roundabout way, yes. His show saved the comic from cancellation and brought new attention to the character.

And it made the Riddler and Mr. Freeze become much more prominent members of the Bat Rogue Gallery whereas before they were small fry and Mr. Freeze was a nothing villain called mr. zero who just had a ice gun.

Although, Mr. Freeze didn't really rise to prominence until The Animated Series interpretation, which became the standard before the New 52 kiboshed all that and made him a creepy stalker.

Indeed. Regardless of how anyone felt about the show, without Adam West the Batman we all know today wouldn't exist.

No doubt of that. Even the 'modern' Batman actors admired him a lot.
