COMMISSION INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
I'm familiar with most genres, including fantasy, sci-fi, supers and furry, and for those I'm unfamiliar with I'm certainly willing to give a try. There are things I prefer not to draw but I'm pretty open-minded. I'll judge these on a case by case basis. If you want me to draw someone else's personal character, please get their permission and have them contact me.
All commissions will be done on 8.5" x 11", 24 lb paper unless otherwise requested.
I don't work digitally, I work on paper, it's just what I'm used to. Though I have on occasion started a picture on paper and finished it in Photoshop. That said, unless you want the original line art, all commissions will be scanned and sent via E-mail as a 300 DPI JPEG (or a format of your choosing, providing I have access to it). If you do want the original line art, see POSTAGE & HANDLING below.
NOTE: I will not be holding on to the original art or files indefinitely. So if you lose the file or change your mind about wanting the original artwork, you'll have about a six month window to work with.
SINGLE CHARACTER
All pictures usually start with a single character so that's where my prices begin.
Single Character
Pencils Only- $10
Inked- $20
Additional Characters
Second character- +$10
Each character after that- +$5 each
Large pets, like a dog or a horse, are considered additional characters.
If you're getting the original line art and are willing to pay a little extra, I can do your commission on Bristol. Getting your commission on Bristol gives you the option of several sizes:
9" x 12" Bristol- $25
11" x 14" Bristol- $35
14" x 17" Bristol- $45
Complex Characters- +$5 - $10
For characters with extra limbs (arms, legs or tails past the first two), extra wings (more than just two), centaurs, or ridiculously detailed characters, I charge a little extra for the added work. Generally speaking this will mean $5 for a single character or $10 if there are more than one like this in the picture.
BACKGROUNDS
Simple Background- +$5
Simple backgrounds include things like a chair or a lamp post, simple items that the character might be interacting with but not an important part of the image. Vehicles, due to the extra work, will not be considered part of a Simple Background.
Full background- +$10
Full backgrounds include everything that can be seen from the viewer's point of view. Please note,I reserve the right to charge more for ridiculously detailed backgrounds.
COLOR
All color work will be done digitally using Photoshop. I've broken the color options down to the following levels;
Flat Color- +$10
A simple layer of color, nothing fancy
Colored Lines- +$10
The lines are colored to add a different kind of depth
Simple Shading- +$10
Shadows are included to add depth
Deluxe- +$30
A combination of all the above options and then some.
+$10 will be added for pictures with Full Backgrounds.
AVATARS/USERPICS
An image that you can use to represent yourself online. You also have the option of getting two avatars that are placed side by side and somehow interact with each other. Drawn 5" x 5" , you will receive a full size copy of your avatar. a 100 x 100 DPI copy and a 50 x 50 DPI copy.
Flat Color
Single- $10
Side by Side- $15
Deluxe
Single- $20
Side by Side- $30
BADGES
All badges will be hand drawn, scanned and then colored in Photoshop. All badges come laminated and a clip provided. Badges come in two sizes:
Small- $15
About the size of a business card.
Large- $20
About the size of an index card.
If you want the original line art as well, add $5 to the total
COMIC STRIPS & COMIC PAGES
Before anyone asks, NO, I will not draw your web comic for you.
For those of you who want to commission a comic strip or comic page, I offer the following. All Strips and Comic Pages will be drawn on Bristol.
Daily Strip Format- Drawn 4" x 13"
One Strip, Black & White- $40
One Strip, Flat Color- $60
One Strip, Simple Shading- $70
Multiple Strips, Black & White (max 6 strips)- $30 each

One Page, Simple Shading- $125
Multiple Pages, (max 4 pages)- $50 each
Multiple Pages, Flat Color (max 4 pages)- $75 each
Multiple Pages, Simple Shading (max 4 pages)- $100 each
I'm not officially making Colored Lines or Deluxe options for coloring, but I'm always open to negotiation.
The above prices are for just the line art, if you want me to include your dialogue, via Photoshop, we can talk.
I can draw your Comic Book Pages full size, 10" x 15", but I will add $25 per page for Black & White and $20 per page for color.

ADULT ARTWORK
Just so you know, I will be asking for proof of age. Without proof, I will not draw adult artwork.
I WILL NOT draw underage characters, 17 and under, nude, so don't even ask.
Nude- +$5
The character or characters are simply without clothes and going about their business. Think tasteful or playful without being sexually explicit. For women, think Playboy, not Hustler, and for Men, if the guy is "erect", that makes it porn. The cost applies for all characters in the picture. Nude assumes that the "naughty bits" are visible and not somehow concealed.
Porn- +$10 or more
Porn applies to a character or character in sexual situations. I'm pretty open minded but there are some things I will not draw. The big things being again, no underage* characters and no violence or rape. For anything else, ask first. Some acts, depending on their potentially graphic nature, I may still draw, but I'll charge a little extra for it. This cost includes the +$5 for Nude.
Adult Comics & Strips
As above, I'm willing to draw comics with nudity and porn. I just charge a little more.
Nudity
+$5 per Strip
+$10 per Page
Porn
+$10 per Strip
+$20 per Page

CONTACTING ME
You can contact me via a note here, make sure the word "COMMISSION REQUEST" is in the subject line. I check in often and should be able to get back to you within 24 hours.
TURNAROUND TIME
Ideally I can can finish a Single Character commission inside of a week, while larger commissions can take longer. Turnaround time will largely depend on how many commissions I have at any one time and any outside influences that may be slowing my progress. I usually work on commissions in the order I get them, however I will sometimes put smaller, single commission characters before larger orders. I will let you know at the time of commission if there are any commissions before yours and attempt to keep you posted on the progress of your commission.
PAYMENT
Because I was burned once, I now ask for money up front. For orders of $125 or more I can be talked into half up front, though I won't deliver the finished art until paid in full.
Let me know when payment is in route so I can keep an eye out for it and I'll let you know when it has arrived. I will not be responsible for payments lost in the mail. So if you want to make sure I've received your payment, talk to your post office about methods to confirm delivery.
Postal Money Order
My preferred method of payment is in the form of a Postal Money Order. You can get them at any post office and it gives you a receipt for our transaction. Other types of money orders work also, they're just a little bit more of bother to cash.
Checks
I will also accept checks, which I know can be easier for some. Enough time has passed since I was burned and I now feel more comfortable with taking them.
Cash
If you want to risk it, I'm happy to oblige.
PayPal
I do not have PayPal but I have a friend who can helped me out. Sadly, because PayPal charges for some transactions I'm afraid I will have to add $5 to any PayPal order. My friend shouldn't have to cover the cost and I can't really afford to myself. If you live in the US, I would appreciate it if you would consider other options first. Thanks.
Other
I've had someone offer to pay via a pre-paid credit card so I'm open to negotiations.
DELIVERY
As stated, once your art is finished you will receive a 300 DPI JPEG, even if you're getting the original line art.
Line art will be sent snail mail in the US and I will do my best to make sure the art arrives flat and undamaged. See below for information on Postage.
At the moment I'd prefer to limit international orders to digital only, but I'm willing to work something out if needed.
POSTAGE & HANDLING
To cover costs, postage and envelopes and such, I'm asking for $3 for anything that will fit into a 10" x 13" envelope and $5 for anything larger shipping in the US.
Well hopefully I've managed to cover everything but if you have any additional questions, please feel free to drop me a note.

It's a really nice summation of your prices and shows your skills well. IMHO you still undervalue your work I really will have to find some money soon to commission something!

Visually, it was not easy for me to immediately see the difference between flat color, colored lines, shaded, and deluxe. This might confuse some people and encourage them to go for the cheaper flat color art, all things seeming equal. Of course, that would reduce your workload... Clever. Clever...

I think it might be also be the fact that they're all in the same color range, thus things tend to blur a bit. Still I'm happy with it for now.
Does the "short form" of the strip work as a preliminary intro?

If I go by the strip, that's potentially 8 different pictures...But, nothing wrong with that. Drop me a note or e-mail and we can work out the details ^.^

Simply fantastic stuff!
I really hope you get some work from this ... and I have been toying with putting up the "Balloon Dance" on both this place and FA to help out. If that doesn't help generate some commissions, I'm not sure what will.
