Description
Here's a colorization of 's KidSTUFF Velma.KidNotorious is Charles Holbert Jr., an excellent artist that hails from Las Vegas. He's also the creator of Hawt Girl [link]
Please check out his gallery, it's totally awesome.
BTW, this drawing was inspired by a photo of FatBottomedGirl, AKA Nikki. Her gallery is totally awesome, too!!
(I hope that Nikki and KidNotorious don't mind that I made Velma's legs a little longer than the original)
Lineart by Charles Holbert Jr.
Inspired by Nikki
Colors by me

Thank you. Β I really love Charles' original drawing,Β kidnotorious.deviantart.com/arβ¦ , which very accurately represents the real-world proportions of Nikki' s original cosplay fatbottomedgirl.deviantart.comβ¦ but I thought that as an animation-style drawing, the legs really needed to be a little longer than in real-life -- so I stretched out the lower portion of the drawing. Β
Thanks for your comment!!Β

Thanks! I took some liberties with the resolution by stretching her legs out a bit, to make them appear longer.

I think that most guys break down into either Daphne or Velma fans. Like you, I'm a big Velma fan. I think there is a similar break between Ginger and Marianne.
I use this really old program called Paint Shop Pro 4.0 (circa '96). Note: This is not the Corel version, but it's by a company called Jasc, Inc. I think you can still find it for download.
It has a very handy tool called the Color Replacer tool. It lets you brush across an area, changing one color into another. You can easily turn a section of black line into any color you want using this tool. I have seen tutorials on dA that explain a way to do the same sort of thing using Photoshop.

Yeah, Velma's like the old adage,'You don't know what she'll do till you get her alone.'-The allure of a mystery and all that. (Then again, smart's always been a turn-on for me.)
I really appreciate the tip, I'm familiar with paint shop and I'll see if there's a copy floating around out there.

Thanks!
Actually, I was thinking of changing the background from light blue to dark grey, because I think it looks more like Velma's searching for clues in the dark, and it brings out the ghost better.

this is just awesome, and when i saw it was a rendition of a pose of FBG, it made it that much better.

Thank you. I really have to give KidNotorious all the credit. It was his fabulous idea in the first place. I am just a humble colorist.
