"The most brutal thing about the Basalisk is it's ability to rip things in half with its upward curving claws, I witnessed it myself as a fellow astronaut; Jango Babell, tried to steal a religious artifact from the riders, a pack of basalisks surrounded him and then the alpha male (Which the tribe chief rode) lunged forward to about a foot infront of him and clawed upward, he would have gone flying if it weren't for the hook like claws catching onto his flesh, halting his ascension and ripping the flesh from his abdomen to the neck off."
Nice little story, eh?
The thing about this particular lizard is that it's got dog like feet, rather than most lizards who have feet that go outward and then down. That allows the basalisk to move faster.

I could be a non-religious preacher if i was better at wordcraft .
