Description In the immortal words of Simon Pegg, "Jar-Jar Binks makes the Ewoks look like f*cking Shaft."

This illustration was featured in the documentary "The People Vs. George Lucas". I thought the film was pretty interesting. I recommend it to any of the Star Wars nuts out there that got @$$ blisteringly angry at the prequel trilogy.

Exactly. And they didn't throw blue water balloons at the bad guys. They threw logs.

HA! Great to hear. I'm really surprised by the response this one has gotten actually. It's pretty flattering.

The Ewoks might be cute, but they were also badass and actually did something for the plot. Jar Jar was not cute or funny. I hate Anakin more than Jar Jar, but that Gungan seriously needs to die.

haha. I can tell you are quite the fan of the entire prequel trilogy in general (that was sarcasm.)

Precisely.

Admittedly I did like the bits with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and the clones. But Anakin...

*pretends to be Anakin* Obi-Waaaaannn... I should be special! Why do you haaaaaaaaaate meeeeeeeeeeeeeee?

*stops pretending* Squee--isn't Annie so dreamy!

You know what, I used the love the Ewoks when I was a kid Hilarious piece, not only is it wonderfully done, it has your sense of humor on it. I love the Ewok expression, great work.

Me too. I had a whole bunch of Ewok action figures (I'm still looking for Paploo).

Thanks!

This is awesome, I was just a kid when ep. 1 came out and I always remember something being off about jar jar, something was just weird about him. Now as an adult I understand, he was fucking annoying as hell. As an adult, I still LOVE the ewoks.

WonderDookie In reply to Chukha-Trok [2009-06-17 02:43:40 +0000 UTC]

haha. I checked out your gallery. Yeah, you ARE quite the Ewok fan.

I'm so glad that I got a good 17 years or so of life without the prequel trilogy existing. Watching Episode 1 actually made me envy the dead.

I think I was 11, too young to be so cruelly treated. A scary thought just crossed my mind. The Ewoks got their own cartoon, what if jar jar and the gungans had gotten one too?

Um I happened to like the Ewoks. Though Jar Jar was just too much for me. I think he really ruined Episode 1 for me. With that guy relief from comedy relief was what I wanted.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WonderDookie In reply to Jinggo78 [2009-06-15 04:17:32 +0000 UTC]

The ewoks were alright. I think people just took offense to how mind numbingly cute they were. No where near as bad as Jar Jar.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Jinggo78 In reply to WonderDookie [2009-06-15 19:59:55 +0000 UTC]

Jar Jar wasn't cute or funny. I actually thought that was the key moment when Lucas lost his touch when he put Jar Jar in. Before I could forgive what he did with the franchise. Jar Jar was too much. I think I will probably think twice before watching Episode 1 ever again just because how inane and stupid that character was.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WonderDookie In reply to Jinggo78 [2009-06-17 02:45:48 +0000 UTC]

I CAN'T ever watch Episode 1 again. It's just too depressing. Even Ewan McGregor can't save that one (But he DID do an amazing job as Obi-wan)

Hehehehe fantastic! This is just inspired - I'm sure Pegg and Wright would adore it!

I love the little fella's expression - so delighted and triumphant! and the leafy background is gorgeous - very well done!

P.S. Oooh. I didn't realise the Ewoks all had names. Cool.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

WonderDookie In reply to steeringfornorth [2009-06-12 00:35:50 +0000 UTC]

haha. Yeah, I think they largely invented the names for toy sales though. "Ewok #1" probably wouldn't sell as well as "Paploo".

Awww, I kind of like Wicket. When my brother and I were kids, we would always say "Goonda!" when we were eating something good. Also, we were dorks. What am I saying, "were"?

But anyway, I love this. I hate Jar Jar with a passion unbridled, but I love this.

Maybe because I watch star trek return of the jedi when I was young, I like the ewoks. They was cute and fuzzy and charming.

Ja-Ja was just dumb.

WonderDookie In reply to Anebrd [2009-06-12 00:34:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I think people took issue with the ewoks because they were so sickeningly cute. But at least they were never idiotic like Jar Jar.

I can deal with cute. I like cute. There is nothing wrong with cute dispite the huge crowd of dark and gloom and angsty people that enjoy movies as well. I do have a big problem with stupid. Seriously something that dumb would have been feed to a gaint fish.
