Description
In the immortal words of Simon Pegg, "Jar-Jar Binks makes the Ewoks look like f*cking Shaft."This illustration was featured in the documentary "The People Vs. George Lucas". I thought the film was pretty interesting. I recommend it to any of the Star Wars nuts out there that got @$$ blisteringly angry at the prequel trilogy.

Thanks man! This one was actually a bit of a learning experience. Actually thought me not to rely on references so much. I drew it in my work truck while stuck in a thunderstorm the other day. I think not leaning on references as much freed me up to do something a little sillier.

yeah, but I always have difficulty trying to draw outside of my own little comfortable spots. I always seem to draw worse in front of people or in odd spots. But if you can do THIS with outside pressure, man that's awesome

Oh really? So you have to always be in certain spots to draw? I've heard of people being like that with writing, but not so much with drawing.

depends. I mean I can easily do life drawing anywhere, but like a finished illustrations I just can't do that anywhere, I need to be beside a computer in order to do that.... don't why computers, and never on a drafting table.

Eww. yeah. I'm not a fan of drafting tables either.
I actually have an old card table that I fold out next to my computer most of the time.

Because Jar Jar is unclean. No way they would eat that thing. They'd catch something fatal.

I agree whole heartedly. Ewoks have rocks and spears and stuff. What did the Gungans have? Blue water balloons.

George's sensibilities are painful to witness in regards to the prequels. George needed help from experienced writers to assist him in developing his ideas, especially towards the characters. Aside from that issue, his worship of technology, i.e., cgi, is, sadly, revealing.
Had events turned out, otherwise, those movies would:
a) have had a target emphasis/focus on characterization development/detail.
b) Practical effects/models/sets/ should have been utilized to retain 'tactile dimension sense'
c) Use of cgi, where it can be effective, not surrendering solely to it because it's now available.
d) Have been sincere and honest in allowing mature themes to present itself, imo, to best serve to show the growing disturbing nature of the principal character.
Perhaps, there are more criticisms, I've pointed out what I thought they were in my mind.
