You all knew he was coming, and here he is. My tiki version of the predator from Predator... and Predator 2. This has nothing to do with that AvP rubbish though. I like to pretend that those movies were never made.Related content

Oh man, that is awesome. I usually try not to be so unoriginal in my comments, but seriously, the most fitting word I can think of is AWESOME.
My brother and I love the first AVP movie, but in a mocking, Mystery Science Theater-esque sort of way. It's just so easy to make fun of. And so satisfying. For example: the part in the beginning where the "scientists" are shown a 3-D rendered schematic of the pyramid, and the rich dude funding the expedition says, "My experts tell me it's a pyramid." WOW. What was their first clue?

Well sometimes "AWESOME" is all that can be said. I felt a similar way about the A-Team movie.
haha. I'll have to watch it again sometime in that light. I watched it hoping for something good... and was very very disappointed. I totally missed the comedic potential.

Hey man, AVP: Requiem was actually pretty sweet. As I watched it, I felt that it was Hollywood's official apology for it's predecessor.
He could use some of those dread-rings that them Predators seem to think is so fashionable. I dig it. It's always interesting to see your interpretation of known properties, and how you boil down the distribution of lines and shapes.
Who's up next? Pumpkinhead? He's totally 80's.

Eh. It just didn't feel like Alien or Predator to me still. AVP:R basically felt like a slasher movie that happened to have aliens in it. Like Jason or Mike Myers with latex suits on.
Yeah.. You know. I was thinking about those rings too. I just couldn't figure out how to do it while still maintaining the tiki.

I would have liked to see Danny Glover or Carl Weathers make a cameo. There was an ass-ton of references to the first two movies, especially the slow-mask-removal once Preds finds himself a worthy adversary. The deeming of the worthy adversary is something I look forward to doing in real life.

haha. Yeah. Have Carl Weathers show up without an arm. Or just have his skull on one of the walls in the Predator ships. A white skull hanging there with a little label under it that says, "Carl Weathers".
And, yeah, having a nemesis is one of my goals in life. I tried to manufacture one in high school, just picking a random guy in my writing class and proclaiming him my nemesis, but it just wasn't the same. It lacked that certain special something.
