First of a couple digital dog paintings I'm doing in Photoshop Elements 6.
I was totally inspired by Jody Whitsell's whimsical portraits of dogs with these bright colors mixed in. There are a couple of her paintings hanging up in a local restaurant in my town, which is what got me into it.
I personally really like what I've done here! I'd even say I'm proud of them.

i love the colors so much! i've been drawing lots a realism too lately...mostly cats in my sketchbook. i drew a red panda on iscribble pretty realistic...ivory is helping me finish the background.

Aw, I really like this, man! Like at Karuna's, only digital. I have to say my favorite part is probably the nose, and they eyes are just so cute and innocent looking! I love how it looks like he's looking off to the side. <3 Nice background! Did you TEXTURE IT UP? *pets the puppy ALL OVER*
