A few days ago I finished my first cross stitch. It was just a kit for beginners, because I am.

I opted to fill in his tummy with ecru and just outline his smile in dark green, rather than leave his belly empty and outline everything in black. I thought it made everything look like a poorly-colored page from a coloring book on the kit's cover. >.< I also changed the look of the "Smile" text because I really didn't like what was on the pattern.

I really really enjoyed learning this, and have already picked up some more kits--more ambitious ones, so we'll see how *that* goes.
