Description
The Small Shadow lacks in size, but what they lack in size they make up for in numbers, and intelligence. The Small Shadow is known to be capable of feigning injury, and setting traps. They're also shown to be fully capable of herding their prey towards the dragon that they live in a mutualistic relationship with: the Shadowwing. This firs naturally with the "super persistent predator" subgenre of horror- the horror monster is shown to be an animal, which relentlessly hunts its victims down- to the point where it's still going after its victims even if real animals would have given up long beforehand. Combine that with their tendency to hunt in packs, and you have the makings of an "alien" style horror movie without the xenomorphs... or a clear cut alpha dragon.
