Raised by a WWI veteran and a paranoid/clingy mother, he learned to take care of himself mostly and keep his nose clean and out of trouble. Worked various odd jobs (newpaper delivery, security guard, part-time reporter, landscaper), never really focusing on one until he enlisted in the US Army Airborne Corps in 1941.
Personality: Reserved, thoughtful, likes to think things through before going through with them. Tries to do the right thing, (I. e. spare lives of prisoners) but will not always do so.
Powers: No superhuman abilities, standard US Army training compounded with further Airborne training

It's gonna sound weird but I really like how his hair looks, it's got a nice swoop to it and helps show off his reserved personality (when combed) and when under duress it starts to go spiky and wild at the back. It's a nice visual cue to his emotions and current feelings. Love all the little details you put into the designs.
