I present to you one of my favourite drawings; Kimono!
Haha, yeah, yeah...I know what you guys are all like; "yeah, yeah, Mark, you're on crack.

Haha, well, even though as hard as I've been working on it, which it's been a while not because of sheer iron will like a lot of people, but mostly because I've'nt had time!
You can tell I'm fairly new to digital art. I haven't added any shading anywhere...haha, I still don't know how to do that. Or the lovely sheen in her hair. Hmm, also if you look at her feet. The colouring goes terribly wrong. I love digital art for the meer fact of being able to border things! I hate backgrounds!

I’ve noticed some anatomical problems with the legs. The thigh and calve and overall leg structure is incredibly short. It consists of not even half of the girl’s torso, when it should be just as long, if not longer.
However the hands and the face were illustrated exceptionally well. Which is a definite bonus. The legs are the biggest, and likely, the only flaw on this picture.

What program do you use for coloring?
Usually you can just go in with a slightly darker shade, I do my shading by hand . . .

Yeah, I actually do partly have a porblem of where to shade, but mostly how to.
I usually run over with a light gray when traditionally colouring, but I'm not sure if thats what I'd do here.

Well, does GIMP have opacity settings? In Photoshop I sometimes use black to shade and then adjust the opacity and WAH-LAH! No hassle shading.

Well other than there not being any shading I really like how you did it (especialy the pattern on the Kimono). I'm not to fond of your golden borders though, but I do like the picture itself, go you! =3
