Description
Just a mock up of the menu WIP. I will be adding a section for a clock, and a bag quick view (current ball count etc) in the left and right. The clock will open up the options and settings menu, and the other will open up the bag.The center button with the player OW sprite, will open up a sub menu for options like Pokedex, Trainer Card, and Save.
I want to have the selected button be brighter and have the icon animated, maybe have the name of what option is selected written at the bottom of the screen, such as the name of the Pokemon, or "Player" if the center is selected as in the example above.
It is all subject to change, since this is a mock up I would love some feedback on what I could change, etc.
*I am aware the sides are dark, I am adjusting it. Once the icons are in place, the buttons will be more visible.

I am glad. I think so too, I am still working on it, so some things are subject to change still. I am currently trying to figure out how I want the player menu (trainer card, etc) to be accessible. Should I just stick it in the "Settings & Options" menu (the clock)?

It would be an idea. I guess if the player is the button which brings up all the options, and you want to retain the pattern and space, you could use menu icons instead of words. The settings and options being under the clock is also a good idea.

I originally had a hex button in the center around the player, but I wanted a cleaner look and it was a menu I could put elsewhere. I am just not sure where or how. I want to avoid adding any more icons or words, as I feel it begins to clutter things. I am pretty happy with this layout, and putting it in the Settings & Options seems like the next best place. Is there really that much trainer information that it would look awkward in that menu?

Well basic trainer information is name, money, pokedex (amount seen) and badge count.

Well yes, but all that is contained on the trainer card. As far as I know, that is the only info I would have in the player menu, and I do not think it is enough to feel too out of place in the Settings & Options section. Idk, I will sleep on it and see if I cannot come up with an alternative.
