Unser Abibuchcover. Motto: "Das Wars, Abisode 15" passend zum Star Wars Jahr.Der Todesstern symbolisiert einen Casio Taschenrechner, daneben der Namensgeber unserer Schule als Darth Paulsen. Des weiteren sind Unsere Mensa und der Glockenturm unseres Schulgebäudes zu sehen. Luke und Leia sind mit allerlei Schulutensilien ausgerüstet um im Krieg der Punkte bestehen zu können.
Mehrere Bleistift+Fineliner-Skizzen, dann alles mit Gimp zusammengefügt und gemalt.

Cover for our yearbook/graduation book. I replicated the original Star Wars poster using pencil, pen and gimp. The Darth Vader guy has the face of the man man our school was named after. The Death Star resembles the typical pocket calculator everyone used. In the backround you can see our cafeteria building and the bell tower of the school.
"Das Wars" means something like That's it, it's over idk.... And "Abisode" is a mixture of "Abi" or "Abitur" (that's what we call A-level exams and certificat in Germany) and of course "Episode"

Glorious! It's amazing that everyone in your school agreed on this - back in my matric year (Abi equivalent in South Africa) most people wouldn't even have known about Star Wars!

Yeah I'm still kinda surprised about this, because we also had sooo many People with no Connection at all to star wars and some even were really pissed when this theme was chosen. But somehow we gathered enough votes for this one? You have no idea how thrilled and happy I was when the election results were going around because those other themes were so....arrrgh they were really bad and boring (to me) and I already knew I would be on the team who makes the yearbook and I didn't want to work with an ugly or boring or borderline offensive theme. So you can imagine I was more than happy when it turned out to be the star wars one.
