I went rummaging through some old files and found a bunch of sketches, doodles and WIP drafts that I'll share over the course of the week.At some point I was putting together a reference picture for Wossy and Aeria, but instict took over and instead of being a standard character sheet, I ended up showcasing the "Treadroll" restraint that was for the most part designed by for use in the gorgeous commission he did for me:

I guess I'd go with the full shabang; hood and muzzle together! That said, I didn't really think too much about the inner workings of the muzzle. I imagine it has a tube or hollow ball (like the wiffle-ballgags) or something like that on the inside, to allow efficient gagging while not restricting breathing (much).. but then how would that work with the hood? Maybe there could be a mouthless hood, but then that's kind of a hassle. Maybe the wearer just gets tapegagged first, and then the full-hood is tight enough around the jaw that even without tape they wouldn't be able to open their mouth much anyway, and then the over-hood muzzle is a different one to the unhooded, containing no ball and rather just being an extra layer of solid head-restraint?

I personally love the smooth look of the hood against Aeria's face; tight enough that you can see the outline of her features. It just stimulates such pleasant sensations and ideas! But then again, it means that the aforementioned internal gag is tough to explain away. The tape-gag isn't quite as 'high-tech' as the rest of the outfit, though it is very appealing.
Maybe the snug hood is just the outermost layer - the cloth covering to something more high-tech. You don't want to give away all your secrets at once now, do we?
There's also the chance for a very tiny port in her mouth that the hood obscures - one that attaches to the muzzle.

Grip pads and a great gag! I love the multifunction options for hood, gag, muzzle...

That could've been useful for my picture of Bridgette in a treadroll sack. Granted it was hard to convert something from a realistic art style to a geometric style, but still, this is really the perfect reference for the sack.
By the way, slight aesthetic issue, I think you were going for Aeria's original number, which was originally AB238594. There's a slight typo here..

I may have been unclear - in "Under Embargo" I'm referring to the shading on Wossy (black hair) who is the only character wearing a Treadroll. The design, including arm/hand placement, remains the same regardless of colour variants.
