INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:
Name: Arctic Wolf (Canis lupus arctos)
Location: Canadian Arctic and the northern parts of Greenland
Size: 1.8 m long, 79 cm high weight: 75 kg
Diet: Caribou, musk oxen, Arctic Hares, seals, ptarmigan, lemmings. Arctic wolves eat all their prey, also its bones and fur
Conservation status: common. They still live in the whole of its original range, because local conditions are too extreme for humans.
Interesting facts: mother gives birth to some 2-3 pups in May. Pups are born almost black β as they get older, colour of their fur turns to white. Adults are completely white, even in summer | arctic wolves live in the pack of some 7-10 members. Only alpha male and alpha female mate | arctic wolves have shorter ears and nose than other wolves species. They also have thicker fur, shorter legs | they do not run too fast, their advantage is persistence

why would you shoot a wolf? get a life rather than kill for fun, i should shoot your most loved one and see you be fine... and they wonder why animals attack people...

I think hunters are the most vile disgusting people on the planet.

hunting for food is ok if animals do not suffer

The majority of hunters do not hunt for food. They hunt because they are sadistic. Hunting is a blood sport that is truly vile and primitive.

The majority of hunters do not hunt for food. - I would not be that sure about it.
Also, population control might be important.

LithiumEnd In reply to woxys [2012-03-29 20:47:52 +0000 UTC]
Yes some hunters eat there prey, but the majority do not. Bears, wolves, mountain lions are often deemed to be unfit for human consumption.
Hunters are wiping out the predatory class of animals such wolves, mountain lions, coyotes, bears. Hunters often say it is to control the population but that is a fictitious statement. Hunting is not a necessary evil it is a selfish desire to show off onesβ machismo. Animal populations are declining all of the world, and not just on land either. Hunting is one of the main contributors to the increase of animal population decline. Hunting has historically wiped out animal populations such as the dodo bird, the Tasmanian tiger and the beavers of the Mississippi River. I personally do not eat meat, but I do not shame those who do. Animals are raised to be slaughtered ethically, Hunters kill for pleasure and suffering.

you do have a point what right do humans have to control the population when it was our fault to begin with I mean we almost wiped out the buffalo for different reasons mostly hunting for their fur and stuff but they deam wolves as evil because of dead livestock oh cry me a river wolves aren't the only carnivores out there idiots, most of the times I think I would rather be born a native American because they respect the animals and to top it all Wolves are natures balance
