INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:
Name: Iberian wolf (Canis lupus signatus)
Location: Northern parts of Spain and Portugal
Size: 120-140 cm long weight: 40 Kg (male), 30 Kg (female)
Diet: wild boars, rabbits, roe deer, red deer, ibexes, fish, carcasses
Conservation status: vulnerable / endangered
Interesting facts: there are 1500 β 2000 Iberian wolves in Spain and 300-400 in Portugal | Iberian wolves mate during the end of winter or at the beginning of spring. After 63-65 days, mother gives birth to 3-6 pups | wolves live in the packs and they chase their prey. They tend to hunt old or ill animals, so they play very important role of the health police | Iberian wolves are threatened by poachers, by forest fires and because of losing their natural habitat.

What other subspecies of wolves can be found from the Olomouc Zoo?
I was traveling in Czech Republic with my family once, in Prague... If I had known about that awesome zoo when I was there, I would have demanded to get there. o__o Iberian wolves are my favorite subspecies, they're so unique and I've always wanted to witness one with my own eyes.. <3
And this caption is really nice.

Pretty, funny, cute, and reminds me of Shadow's expression when she wants a treat. A dog of mine, she was a mix of unknown combo, but had colors like shepherd, and often makes expressions just like this when you play with her, offer treats, pet her, hug her, etc.
