Gisèlle and Monty in Africa, discussing... something. Possibly where to park the next aircraft, or to move equipment a possible gap in security, or maybe how it's quite a long way to, well, you know where... and the best route to take.

To a greater or lesser extent these two are very much cut from the same cloth in terms of competence and flexibility, and point of interest said conversation could well be occurring in English, French, Russian, or Italian as languages they share, though English is most likely that they both speak natively.

Monty speaks:
Native - English and French
Fluent - Italian
Proficient - Russian
Conversational - Egyptian Arabic, Turkish, Spanish, German
Basic - Various other Arabic dialects, Farsi, Greek, Cantonese, Slovene... among others. Monty makes a point of having at least a bit of the language for wherever she goes.

Gisèlle speaks:
Native - English and Afrikaans
Proficient - French, Serbian (technically her native tongue, but she was very young when she left).
Conversational - Italian
Basic - Aamiyah, Farsi, Pashtun, Mandarin.

I feel the difference between Gisèlle and Monty's basic languages, is that Monty is deliberately learning language wherever she goes because her job hinges on being able to communicate, whereas Gisèlle's are learned as a result of being in-country and just dealing with the locals.

Honestly, it's just nice to draw Gisèlle doing something other than guard rich basic white girls.
