Description "Sir, for your own safety please remain inside the vehicle..."

Wes and Nat, hairing round the corner in the GTV, one wheel in the air hotly pursuing a runaway vehicle while Midget follows in the Smart Mech, trying to do as little property damage as possible (sort of). Good clean tyre-squeeling, chassis bending fun

Well this turned into a major bleeding exercise. It started off as just a picture of the Alfetta with the Smart Mech in-behind. Then it justo sort of grew out of proportion. It also proves that I've been watching far to much eX-Driver for my own good. Decided to put this in Anime rather than Fan Art, as it doesn't actually feature anyone or thing from that series, 'cept for the AI cars and the little eX-D decals. God knows where the street actually is. There are Japanese school uniforms there, but everything is written in English, and we've still got our "Sunshine State" plates on. Looks a bit like Park Rd (for those who know it, in Brisbane), has cafes and stuff.

That damn mech gave me serious trouble drawing it (Smart Mech concept belongs to ~Shadowdevil by the way). Couldn't quite figure out how to make it transform, pose it or anything. So sorry mate, I know I messed up the front, and you're stuck with the Coupe version 'cause I couldn't think of any other way to carry guns.

Ah well, have fun kids. I normally don't ask this, but please full view. There is quite a bit of detail in there. Oh, and I reckon atleast one of you out there should be able to guess at the rest of the Cafe's name.

Thanks! Well, cars have always been a love of mine and I was drawing them before I drew people and the like When I need a reference I find it's better to get a couple and learn which bits go where, rather than trying to find a picture of the exact position I want the vehicle in.

Ok, Nat is a brunette (darkish brunette)
"Sunshine State" Plates are reflective maroon on reflective white.
Smart Mech I think was... I can't remember. I think it was a gunmetal frame with a silver shell or black frame with gunmetal shell... you choose. Front bits are black plastic though.

It was like that too when I started out... but for the past year and a half I've figured out a way to be able to underload my courses each term, so with a light load I get a fair amount of free time in between, its just that lately we've been doing the Thesis and stuff so the works been heavy despite the light load.

Yeah, the "Smart Mech" was actually originally the idea of ~Shadowdevil I just did my own take on the idea. It has now subsequently changed to a "Pug 206" mech, since the Smart Roadster is going out of production at the end of the year.

by the way are you watching the english dub or in original Japanese? the english dub dropped alot of the cool details from the original version (too make more understandable to little kids i guess)

Might try watching it subbed instead, or do an intenseive couse in Japanese

*LOL* thats because Europe in japanese is Europa! anyway, the Japanese version has more technical car stuff, example: in the 3rd episode where lorna said she won't demonstrate the shift lock because its bad for the gears... in the original Japanese version she said it was because the track was slippery and the manuver won't work. i guess that kids won't get that so they re worded it for the dub.

I have a region 2 original copy with Subs but the subs were done by the same guy who did the chinese subs so there crap... even the characters names are wrong! i speak a little bit of japanese so i understand about 50% of what they say in Jap. i just don't know if the region 1 orig would have good subs... or better yet track down a fan-subbed version (if one exists)

Yeah I guess so. Like the Europa was originally an export only, so they might have gotten it from there. But they still could have done a BIT of research, at least into the car names Might try tracking down a fan-sub version.

The smart mech is cool, though it reminds me now (I can't help it, damn them) of the transforming car from that Citroen advert.

Yeah, I love that advert They don't broadcast it here in Australia though. And yes, it WAS partly the inspiration for the Smart Mech (would have to ask ~Shadowdevil )
