Description The New Genesis

we sat there hand and hand and

watched as the world came to an end

death's drum the tattoo

of our two hearts beating

we watched fire fill the sky

we watched our old lives slowly die

rejoiced as empires all burned  into the ground

and then i gazed into your eyes

shining just like the new night skies

and i knew that we were the only ones

noone else just me and you

staring at the world that we once knew

and in this moment, nothing else matters

This is really interesting. I like how peaceful it feels despite lines like we watched fire fill the sky and as the world came to an end . Nice work

thank you much that was the feel that i was going for in this poem its like we are watching all of this destruction as our old world falls away and yet we have found our nirvana
