Description Now we get into some meat and potatoes stuff.

I used to eat art tutorials up at a rapid pace as a kid. I usually wasn't experienced enough to fully understand them, but I did get to see a lot of advice. Some of the advice I got for expressions was to consider every muscle of the face (not exactly bad) and also try and remember the faces I've seen, maybe pull a face or two myself to help. I don't think it's bad advice, but here's the thing: if you're one of those cartoon people like I am, knowing the anatomy of the face can really help you, but you're not gonna be forced to draw every single scientifically named chunk of face meat every time you draw something. And if you've never spent much time studying expressions because you only got into drawing this year or something, how are you going to remember all the little intricate details of what happens to people's faces when they pull a certain look in a certain way? Also, what if you're an uggo like me and hate looking in mirrors?
Another thing that I don't know if I made clear was that you should be as specific with your image searches as is helpful to you. "Happy" is too vague, for example, because it encompasses people smiling, laughing, playfully fighting, crying tears of joy, etc. "Smile" is better, but still needs context. "Nervous smile" gets you closer to something useful. "Woman nervous smile" works best if your character is a woman.
The context here is that someone talked shit about One Direction.
