Lexi Luther smiled as she served out the wings and major mug of beer. Her emerald eyes glimmered as she forced a nice big smile, “alrighty boys, hope you enjoy your grub!” She let out a well-practiced giggle as the men made a few comments she had gotten used to. “Now, I cant do something like that! I’m on the job, silly,” she turned and waved heading back to the kitchen to grab the next tray.

While she waited she huffed a bit, wiping her brow. She lamented, highest IQ in her school and yet she still could only manage to get a server gig... well, it was the summer, so... THREE server gigs. She moved a tip a customer stuffed in her blouse to her pocket. Three gigs and all the men were the same...

“What’s wrong Lexi?” A soft voice asked beside her, one of the younger staff... Lexi was 18 and already done with the teen drama that inevitably came about from extended interactions with them. “Boys giving you trouble again?” The teen was sweet... naive, but well meaning.

”oh you know, boys will be boys,” Lexi forced a chuckle as the girl smiled.

“Oh I know it,” the girl huffed, “I swear I won’t be able to sit for a day or two after getting my poor rear spanked so much,” The girl sighed as Lexi stared. The girl was too well intentioned to worry about reporting them. They were too old to no better or that’s just the way they were... among other stupid reasonings. Part of Lexi wanted to help the girl stand up to those meatheads, however...

”Listen, could you cover the rest of my shift and clock me out?” Lexi clasped her hands begging, “I don’t think I’m gonna last... especially THIS time of the month... if you get my meaning?” A simple lie but perfect for her ‘friend’.

“Oh gosh, of course dear! You go home and rest up. My mom always says ginger ale or a hot pad help with the cramps,” she smiled as Lexi nodded. The two hugged before Lexi made her way out.

As she walked to her car, she pulled out her phone and checked the GRIPE! Public critic forum. She looked up her last job over at Knockers, and found a few reviews saying the manager was completely inept and kept getting their orders wrong. Lexi smirked. She had been sowing the seeds of doubt to corporate since she started there and whenever she and the manager were working the same part of the dining room, she’d purposefully ring in the orders wrong for her boss’s tables. A simple trick, but one that would guarantee her the manager’s job before the end of the month, which would give her plenty of experience for her college applications...

The girl’s family may not have been particularly well off, but she was smarter than just about anyone. She was playing the long game, making those corporate connections now before she made her way into the business world and would have different uses for them.

Bebe watched from a distance, the purple haired fae a little perturbed by her recent mark. In just a week of being turned into a sexy teen unable to afford college, Lex Luther had already saved up enough money to rent an apartment in the college town, sign up for a handful of classes starting in the fall, AND began orchaestrating managerial coups in two of her three jobs... not to mention she buzzed off all that lovely hair Bebe had given her... some minds are too flexible to break...
