“Thank You for just one more day.” it's a lyric from the song “Supernatural” by a pretty well known band Flyleaf. One thing you probably didn't know is that they are a heavy Christian band. Now, don't think I only listen to them because they are Christian. I actually adored their music before I found out what was their drive. God is their drive. In the song “Cassie” they are basically telling the story of what happened to a young girl named Cassie Bernall. She, along with thirty-three others, was killed by two kids named Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris on Tuesday, April 20th 1999. She was killed in the massacre at Columbine High School.
It is rumored that before he shot her in the head, he asked the question, “Do you believe in God?” And, according to the rumors, her answer was the reason he killed her. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were both apart of a social organization known as the Trenchcoat Mafia. A rumored pro-Jewish society. There is much speculation on the reasons behind this cruel act against the people around the world. In 2004, the FBI finally submitted to the public at large their documentation stating that Harris was a psychopath, and the mastermind behind the whole thing. While saying Klebold was depressive. It also stated that Harris has a massive superiority complex, and hoped that by committing the acts he did, he would be able to illustrate just how powerful he was to the world.
I believe that the true reason that these two people, the two young boys, (as neither were older than the ago 19) felt attacked by society. They could have, in my guess, felt hated and therefore hated back.
In many peoples minds, Cassie Bernall and Rachel Scott are both considered martyrs of the Christian faith. But think of the dates. April 20th. Does anyone else think that day sounds familiar? That's because it is. April 20th, 1889, most likely. That is the day that one of the most known anti-semitics of the 20th century was born. Heir Adolf Hitler.
