I'll write my story just like everyone else. I'll live my life, but I'll record it all. The shine of her hair, the reel of his hands, the emotion in her eyes these are the things I'll never forget. I don't want to forget. More than anything, it is these memories that keep me sane throughout my life, my tedious day to day life. My trying to get the girl and almost never succeeding. Of wishing for more and not needing it. Of writing this down and not changing a damn thing.
I'd go mental if it weren't for these things. Those and solitaire until midnight, waiting for her call and blaring Angels and Airwaves, but knowing shes asleep, but staying up anyway and writing down everything she says and praying she don't know, but waiting for her to know that I am here, for the rest of time, and hoping someone tells her or she figures it out on her own but praying the whole time that she won't. But knowing in the end, she will. Inevitably, she'll know. She'll catch me in a snare and all I'll do is stare and she'll have me. It's inevitable.
Because my eyes are like windows to the direction of my heart, you can see my lust by looking at me. This is how much of a hopeless I am, that I write this with her on my mind, hoping I'm on hers.
I'll never be with him on it. He takes the place I wish to fill. But as I know that she has a smile gracing her lips with him on her mind, I'd wish nothing less for her.
