Description
A little girl was hurt so bad,
All because her daddy was mad.
For once, it wasn't her fault.
No, his marriage came to a halt.
Mommy and daddy loved no more.
Daddy called mommy a common whore.
She knew not what was happening.
She prayed to God that daddy was acting.
He was playing pretend,
like her and her dolly friends.

Against her wishes, that wasn't the case.
Daddy found a new mommy, to replace,
The one she knew, the one she loved
the one that every night, she gave a hug.
Now, every night she hugged a stranger.
A woman she didn't know, so much bigger
then the mommy she knew.
She told herself, she'd just make-do.
She closes her eyes, and counts to ten.
And prays to a God she wishes loved her again.
“I try to be good, I try to do right.
But living everyday is a constant fight.
Mommy and daddy are always mad.
And Kyle can't stop being sad.
I want to do what You ask of me.
But, I guess one day we'll see
if you picked the right little girl.
Fighting in a whirl
the thoughts of people
that try to belittle
all that mommy did
when daddy, all but hid.“
She opened her eyes and try as she might,
the tears flowing was a losing fight.
She finally sat down and cried.
She forgot all the pride,
and cursed her father.
But knew it would all be much bleaker.
