A promise made in the dead of night.Two friends, undertaking a fatal fight.
A pinkie promise, to save the others life.
One understanding, not making a joke.
The other takes it lightly, thinking a hoax.
Just glad to be with her, her heart a float.
The reality of their promises made,
Realized after a statement feigned.
She didn't comprehend the life she saved.
Living a life so another would.
Living a life just so another could.
Living a life because another should.
Her life not worth the one she lives.
Her statements slight more than fibs.
Luxury flaunted, with emotions always hid.
She fears the pain that others inflict.
But she'll just raise her fist.
Hold her own, and take hit after hit.
But she guards her heart in a granite keep.
She'll be led to slaughter like the lamb and sheep.
If her emotions are shown, then she'll show how she weeps.
