I was going to say that's not much snow for that close to lake Erie then I realized it was from 2 years ago lol. Today was the first snowfall here in PA and we're 30 minutes from Youngstown.

haha, you're right! Yep, 2 years ago, if I remember correctly, the snow had time to settle plus a new light dusting, why it looked so low. This year, we had a ton of snow before Christmas but then none until two days ago so it's been interesting!
Awesome! It sure did take the snow a while to come this year.

When it snows for you guys it really snows thanks to the lake effect. We used to go to lake Erie in the early spring to see the ice flows and it'd still be bone chilling there in March. It's odd the winters aren't getting any warmer but we're getting less snow. We just had a thunderstorm that took out 3 trees last week. I'm an old fart so I remember going to elementary school in the 80s with snow up to nearly your knees right after thanksgiving.

Oh wow!
Yes it is true, even when I was just a kid, living in Mentor, OH, it would snow from Thanksgiving (or earlier) all the way to March, and never go away. We still get a lot of snow but it'll come for 2 days and then disappear. Now, living in Hiram we get and keep more snow then Mentor but Mentor, right on the lake spends most of the winter with little to no snow sadly, but does have freezing temperatures. So winters are usually freezing and dry, the temps are worse but less snow then I remember. But we do have lots of weird days of heat. Last week it jumped up really warm outside, and that happens in a cycle all winter with the melt-snow-melt cycle. We actually had a thunderstorm!
