This is where everything was at! My friend and I simply crossed one street and boom, the alleys were LIT UP! The entire district was just roads and roads like this full of restaurants and karaoke bars, cafes... K-Pop music poured into the street from every door and their were adorable couples everywhere! It's quite a young-crowd area so it was such an incredible experience and it was only my first night there!Seoul, South Korea, March 2019

Seoul has a soul of it's own, vibrant and alive.
As with so many cities throughout Asia, the best places are not on the tour, and that's for the best.
Only those with open eyes see what is real.

It really does! I was glad we stayed in an area that had very little tourists in the district. I had a great time with the locals and exploring all the little nooks and crannies of the alleys

I always wanted to go to Seoul and Tokyo (not just for kpop and anime but both are pretty awesome lol)! I love the bright lights!! It's so beautiful!

It was so incredible, I highly recommend it! I'm a huge fan of all angles of the culture whether that is music, TV/ dramas, the FOOD and especially the language. I've studied Korean for a while so that was really helpful. I hope to go to Japan in a year or two because some of my best friends live there and I would love to see them and tour around for tea shops haha

Thank you! Oooh, yes! I love matcha! I bought a lot of powdered matcha and green tea while I was abroad. My friends send me some on occasion too. My goal this week is to make Green-tea/ matcha scones. Here's to hoping it turns out well! lol

I will impart some knowledge on you that I only just learned the other day... match and green tea both come from the same plant. In Japan, they keep them separate (the powders) matcha is dark green, green tea is bright green. In Korea, they sell the powder and make it mixed together so everything is matcha-green-tea all in one, no separation. Not knowing this, I bought matcha-green-tea powder at the market but I thought it was only green tea. I asked for matcha too and he tried to tell me what I bought but then ended up selling me a second bag of powder that I thought was matcha. I read the hangul and I"m like, oh, that sounds like what I thought matcha was in Korean (I was wrong). So in the end, I bought a powder that I have no idea what it is xD
I used to have hangul on my keyboard so I need to do that again in order to look up the powder. I'm curious!
