Description The meeting ran rather eventful, or so it seemed to (y/n) at the time.  It really didn’t go as Furry thought either.  With Tony sitting himself promptly between Steve and herself, there was a small tension between the two guys.  If that wasn’t enough, Tony would often make small comments quietly to either herself or Steve about what was going on in the room when he came to fetch them for the meeting.  He was sure that they were ‘getting down and dirty’ as he put it, and Steve and herself were both about ready to strangle him to shut him up.  When Furry noticed how the trio was not giving him and the problem at hand their undivided attention, he was less than pleased.  He had pulled Tony out of his chair and across the table next to himself.  She was shocked when it happened, so was pretty much everyone else in the room.

If that hadn’t been enough, the meeting, while trying to figure out what it was her father was planning on doing and where he was hiding out.. The entire building had lost power a moment.  It was just a flicker and no one seemed to worried about it, but to (y/n), it was more than cause to worry.  Her heart raced and her mind was working at the same heightened pace.  She found it hard to concentrate even without Tony’s banter for the last half or so of the meeting.  She knew though that they had figured something out, she just didn’t remember what.

Now though, currently she was trying to find her way through the dark halls.  The power had blown out completely in the tower just before the meeting ended completely.  They had suspicions about who had done it or rather why it was out.  The group had gone and slit up to see if they were anywhere in the tower.  It would be a wild goose chase and she knew it.  Steve had gone ahead of her, but she hadn’t heard him come back or anything.  God she hoped he was alright.

Running through the empty halls, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up as she tried to see within the darkness.  The feeling was all too familiar and she feared she was stuck in her own mind again with the evil that resided in her deepest levels.  The fear that she really wasn’t awake or even alive ringing back in her mind again as she tried to steady her racing breath.  Her (e/c) orbs were wide and looking everywhere in hopes that she’d find Steve or any of the Avengers.. Anyone that was safe and wouldn’t bring her harm.

“(Y/n)?  Come on.. (y/n), where are you?”  A dark voice echoed down the hall making her stop in her tracks.  She knew it all too well and she felt like curling up in a corner to hide.  “Come on baby girl, I know you’re here.  We’re blood, I know you had some trouble with the mission.  But it’s alright, I’ll forgive you this time, just come on out.”

The sound of his voice had (Y/n) trembling and hiding behind a corner she had found nearby.  She had no idea how he was able to find her, then again she had no clue about a lot of things that were about this scenario.  She felt more scared now than she ever did with her mother’s husband.  Now she knew why he had been so hateful towards her.. But her biological father, for all she could tell, he was crazy.  There was no telling what he would do if he found her, and she didn’t want to find out.

Footsteps of heavy boots hitting the wooden floors of the hall sounded closer and closer with each step.  She covered her mouth as her breathing grew slightly frantic, trying to muffle any sound she would make in hopes he wouldn’t find her.  As the grew nearer and nearer to her location, she closed her eyes, silently hoping that he would just go away, or she would be saved.  She wasn’t sure what all she could do, so using abilities was an uncertainty.

It was then that another set of steps came running up to near where you were.   “(Y/n)!  Where are you?”   The sound of the voice was frantic, and she wanted nearly to get out of hiding and run to them.

“Well well, if it isn’t the infamous Captain America.  Seems you’ve stolen my dear daughter’s heart.  As much as I would love for her to be happy, you aren’t to be part of that.  I have waited a long time for this opportunity, I won’t let it slip by now.”  Her father’s dark, venomous voice spoke.  He couldn’t have been more than a few feet away from where she hid, and she was glad he seemed to have stopped.

“You don’t get a say in what she does or whom she has in her life.  That’s for (y/n) to decide, not some nut case who came back in her life just to use her for your own personal gain.  You’re sick, and no real father.”  Steve’s voice was laced with hate, she hadn’t heard him like that before.  It was scary really, the amazing king Captain America, filled with so much hate and dislike for one person.

A dark and deadly chuckle came from her father as she listened to him take a few more steps most likely towards her beloved.  “Says the man from a time past.  Tell me, what do your friends think hmm?  Having you around, still unaware of things they know all too well, behind on the chain of events.  Must be hard.  I know I wouldn’t want my daughter with an old man in a young soldier’s body.  She can do better.  I plan to make sure of it, after getting what I want of course.  No tell me, how do you want to die?”  He asked and she could see him faintly from her hiding spot.

Her father’s hand grew brighter and brighter as he made slow advances towards the hero.  At first neither of them knew what was going on, until it clicked and she realized he was going to use his abilities against him.

Before (y/n) could do anything, her father had attacked Steve, catching him off guard.  She couldn’t help but scream slightly, giving her position away successfully.  Dark eyes looked back to her under dim light of small flames emitting from her father’s hand as he held an arm around the Captain's neck.  “Well my dear, good to see you.  I’d love to stay and chat.. But I have to get rid of this trash first.  Don’t worry baby girl, I forgive you for not killing him, just try harder next time.”  He smirked with a sinister curl to his lips before himself and Steve disappeared into thin air.

“NO!”  (Y/n) screamed as she lunged forward in failed attempt to grab one of them.  “Damn it!”  She yelled quickly running, letting her instincts take over.  She had to find them.. Not just for Steve’s sake, but for everyone.  With her father, there was no stopping there, killing Steve, was just the tip of the iceberg of upcoming destruction if she couldn’t find them, and stop him.
