This is my entry for the Open Art compilation on Luna Day at Equestria Daily, which is today. And frankly, I'm impressed that I was able to pull off a traditional color piece like this in just 12 hours or so. Though in an animation studio back in the day, that would be pretty damn slow even for one painter. But they had ways to dry their cels out quickly, and they had all their paints mixed ahead of time - I didn't.

So, as I just implied, this is a hand painted cel of Luna in her classic "Huzzah!" pose, layed over a print out of a Windows 10 desktop background. The idea is that Luna suddenly appears on your computer screen, in her attempt to surprise you, just like in the scene this is based off of.

Unfortunately, due to me not being able to accomplish the complexity on the left side, you know with her mane being partially transparent, I had to make this a 4:3 shot, rather than 16:9. (Even though few people still use 4:3 for everyday computing in this day and age, so the realism further suffers.)

As with everything I do, it's flawed and amateurish in quality. But I'm proud of it.
