His eye twitched.

Yes, Kenma was one of his best friends,

but why in the hell is he talking with (Y/n)-chan at practice?!

His other eye twitched.

Kenma.

The boy who has trouble talking to his own team-mates, never mind a girl.

Or rather, Kuroo's girl.

No they weren't dating yet, but Kuroo had made it obvious light years ago that he really liked the (h/c) haired girl.

And seeing her laughing now with Kenma really made him... well...

jealous.

Walking coolly over to the pair, he noticed how they both stopped talking when he approached.

Slinging an arm around the shorter boy's shoulder, Kuroo shot (Y/n) an award winning smile.

"I have to talk to Kenma-kun for a little bit. I hope I didn't interrupt anything important."

(Y/n) simply shook her head.

"Oh it wasn't really anything important. I'll just be over there..."

She pointed to the bench as Kuroo nodded, continuing to smile at her.

Dragging Kenma to the farthest point away from her, he sat him down on the ground.

"Alright Kenma-kun. Explain."

The cat like boy blinked a couple times.

"Explain... what?"

Groaning, Kuroo stooped down to his level.

"Explain what you were laughing with (Y/n)-chan about."

He repeated with an oddly scary tone, though Kenma didn't seem frightened by it.

"There's nothing to explain. We were just laughing."

"Kenma-kun nobody just laughs out of nowhere! There's always a reason."

"There wasn't for us."

Kuroo laughed bitterly.

"Oh so you guys are just so close that you don't even need a reason to laugh huh? Ok. Thanks."

"It's not like that. But I can't really say anything right now... You'll understand later."

Kuroo gave him an icy look before turning around and walking away.

Walking out of the locker rooms, Kuroo was blind with fury.

'Next thing I know he's going to tell me they're dating or something... Then I'll really be mad!'

Not watching where exactly he was going, he ran into (Y/n).

"O-oh! Gomen Kuroo-kun..."

The girl apologized, rubbing a hand behind her head.

"It's no problem..."

He mumbled under his breath, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

A couple minutes of awkward standing and silence passed.

"So... Are you looking for Kenma-kun?"

Kuroo inquired, trying not to let the bitterness at that thought show.

"Oh no... Actually I was looking for you."

(Y/n) replied softly, biting the inside of her cheek.

'M-Me?'

"What for?"

He questioned, feeling a blush spread warmly through out his face.

"Kenma-kun said you would be walking me home today... But I have a feeling you didn't know about this..."

She said, embarrassed that now, she had basically forced him into walking her back.

Of course she didn't know that the male was beyond happy to do so.

'I take back everything bad I said about Kenma-kun before. He is truly my best friend. T-T'

"N-No I didn't know but I don't mind. Let's go then."

"H-Hai."

Walking side by side, they exited the gym, locking up before continuing on.

"It's not far from here... Only 10 minutes or so..."

(Y/n) said softly.

Watching her breath come out in little puffs, Kuroo slipped his jacket off.

"Here. You look cold..."

Looking at the offering, (Y/n) thanked him.

Watching her slip it on, Kuroo couldn't help but blush again at how absolutely adorable she looked.

Upon arriving to her house, the farewells were short and brief.

Before entering the house, (Y/n) felt her arm being tugged back by the tall player.

'It's now or never...'

Grabbing her head, he was quick to plant a small kiss on her forehead before strolling away, leaving an awe-struck (Y/n) stuck in her place.

'He...

He just...

forgot his jacket.'
