Makoto x Reader

Ch. 1: Badassery and Prologue

Without further adieu, Makoto Hanamiya x Reader. Hope you like it!

Kirisaki Daichi High, populated with children from rich families, it's also popular for it’s high promotion rate. But more importantly, for it's golf, and basketball team. You, in fact, went to Kirisaki Daichi High. To you, It’s just known for having tons of rich brats, who had a shit ton of money, and high social standing. Both in which, were acquired from their parents. Not that you weren't in the same category. Your family, in particular owned a variety of martial art dojos. But was also infamous for the underground business, specializing in information leaking, and often weaponry. You planned to get through high school, and take over the business all on your own, you didn't even plan on getting married. No, love and happiness wasn't in your plan. But somehow, you were stupid enough to get yourself caught in a spider’s web, and you admit, you came to like it. You liked it so much, you got stuck.

Your hands search around for pockets as you stroll through the halls of Kirisaki high. But quickly, you remember the damned skirt for the girl’s uniform had no pockets, and neither did the large black sweater you wore. Groaning, you continue to walk, your hands feeling naked and cold.
Classes were over, and you really had nothing to do. No information to leak, money to make, classes to teach, nothing.
The girls in your school were going to meet up with their boyfriends, or hang out with their friends, considering it was a Friday. But you didn't have a boyfriend, and you didn't have ‘friends’.

The only place in the school that had at least one person occupying it, was the gym. That was where the basketball team practiced, although it wasn't like they needed to. They weren't the best, and they weren't the worst, but it’s not like they play fairly to win. Of course, there are people who sit around and complain, but it's not important to you. So you brush it off.
Today, for some reason, you happen to feel like watching them practice, just because you did. And because you were right next to the gym at the moment. A few glances, and you figured you’d just go on in.
You head for the top bleachers, farthest away from the court itself, trying your best not to attract any unwanted attention. But it was tough, considering you were the only one there. But you managed to get up there, a couple looks here and there, but that was all.
After a while, you began to realize why most of the school complained about the way they played. Actually, they didn't play for half of the practice, they were all gathered around, thinking of ways to torture the opposing team. But it wasn't like you cared, instead, you found it interesting……….just a little. The physical part of the practice was boring, though. The chats were the most interesting. Maybe it's just in your nature to prefer 'strategizing' over physical play. The best part of it, was the fact you heard every single word of it. Man, you can make some real big bucks with that stuff. Who was the next team they were playing? Well it didn’t matter. You’ll find out later.
Hours pass by, and you almost drift to sleep, but was awakened by a special someone.
“Excuse me...........miss,” you hear. The arrogant voice surrounds your body, making you feel as if captured in it, for a moment that is.
You look up, seeing that it was none other than Makoto Hanamiya, the coach and captain of the basketball team, also the most feared, and despised person in school. You knew a lot about him, then again you knew a lot about everyone in school. He was smart, with an unbelievable IQ. But he was also a feared individual, the ‘bad boy’. Some girls swooned over him for that fact, you've heard it before. 'Hanamiya-kun is sooo bad,' yeah right, like they'd say it when he rips their hearts out and burns it in hell.
“My, you seem to be off in your own little world,” you hear once more.
Snapping out of it, you quickly begin searching for something to say back. “Sorry. Am I bothering you?” You ask, although feeling you’d regret not checking for signs of your own ignorance.
He smirks an arrogant smirk, arms folded, arrogantly. “Not really. But, I was just being considerate. Practice is over. You were the only one left,”
You look around, realizing that you really were the only one there. “Right. Good day to you then, Hanamiya,” you say. Of course, regretting it now, the fact you didn’t leave earlier.
“Wait,” he says, just as you stand up to leave.
“What is it?” You ask with your chilled, and bored voice, almost raising an eyebrow in advance.
“You intrigue me,” he says, voice low and almost scary. You stood in place, not really having a clever thing to reply with. “Why is it that you’re the only one who came to watch us?” He asks, smirking. “And why is it, that you weren't scared off?” The guy was making circles around you, toying with your head somehow. “Tell me, aren't you scared of me?” He says. “Or do you like me?” He takes a step closer to you, whispering into your ears, and sending chills down your spine.
For a moment, you were almost frightened. But you snap out of it, foolishness. You weren't scared of him, and you didn’t like him.
With a sigh, you look at Makoto Hanamiya straight in the eye, shooting an even more intimidating glare. “You’re popular for you spider’s web technique. Was that it?” You say, Makoto’s eyes almost widening. “Well I have to apologize. I’m not easy prey, I’m the predator. For one, I watched because I was bored, two, I’m not scared of a couple of children playing with a ball. I certainly am not scared of you,” you say. “And I certainly do not have time for feelings like love, or like. I don’t care how you play your game, just don’t interfere with mines. If you choose to use force in order to win, then go ahead. Just remember, I’m a verbal abuser. I use people’s deep and darkest secrets against them……...and crush them. You're simply another easy prey, a toy,” that was your last words, before taking off, leaving with a dramatic scene and a total win, that was you alright. You slightly smirk at your victory, and the last look of Makoto Hanamiya’s widened eyes.
