This is the picture of yours which remains the most firmly in my mind. Because it says something about the vanity of the person who wants to be a martyr, who needs to be a martyr. "Look at me! I'm a martyr! Now I'm important!"
It says something, perhaps, about the vanity implicit in martyrdom itself.
