Description
Raffle Prize for Origamiwolf on Flight Rising of their Fae dragon Copper. This guy has a great story behind him, and it was a joy to paint this (well, a slightly nefarious joy, but I had a good time nonetheless). Darker characters are so much fun.I employed a lot of techniques I learned in my painting class last semester, namely avoiding sharp lines, especially in out of focus areas, and trying to keep areas of light and shadow more unified. As always, I have a lot farther to go, but I'm very happy with the result here!

I know I already commented on your Instagram about this, but this simply just a really beautiful painting! The shadows are top notch, they look very realistic! I love this, it's probably my favorite artist's interpretation of a Fae dragon.

Thank you so so much! Its really fun to re-interpret some of the FR dragons, especially because we don't see very many different official pieces of art of them. I'm very happy with how this turned out, I tried some new art things and they were successful, in my opinion. I'm honored that you like it so much ^^
