Description
I’m FatI love the way you look. But I’m Fat
I love your legs. “But I’m Fat”
I love the shape of your butt. “But I’m Fat”
I love your figure. “But I’m Fat”
I love your waist. “But I’m Fat”
I love your back. “But I’m Fat”
I love the way your body looks. “But I’m Fat”
I love the color of your eyes. “But I’m Fat”
I love your lips. “But I’m Fat”
The color of your skin. “But I’m Fat”
you can’t convince me that you’re ugly, you use the word Fat like a four letter word. You see yourself as the world would want you to be. I see you through eyes you don’t posses, you can borrow mine, but you refuse with distaste and harsh words. There is nothing I can say or do or show you that you are beautiful, Society is misinformed, inundated with the misconception that women must be “Barbie’s“, that you have to have the corset waist, the protruding hip bones, the xylophone ribs , the gaunt face, but they are the sick ones, the unhealthy, the idiotic Kens of the world. You may see yourself as Fat, but I see you as picturesque as someone I want to be with, as someone that I’d be happy to immortalize, sculpt, paint, someone that I’d be with forever.
Loose your weight, starve yourself, live life with Atkins, do your painful workouts, and be sick for the remainder of your days on a beautiful planet, miss your fun with friends and loved ones, miss the landscapes that just wants to be seen, miss a birth. All cause “Ken” said so.
“Fuck you Ken!!!!!!!”

I seriously wish I could hug you right now! Even though I am a tiny girl, I've always dealt with similar "perfect" issues. Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you,
you are welcome to share, so long as you tell them who it's from, plus adding how I look, sometimes helps drive the message home, you know I'm not the average healthy 41 year old, I also model as well as take some decent photos, not the, well, standard run of the mill joe.

So true! Definitely NOT the standard run of the mill joe.. And yes, your pics are stunning. I've been enjoying the viewing of them immensely. I will absolutely say whom it was that wrote it since you have given me your Ok to do so. You have seen me in my photos & I'd imagine can see that I'm not the "typical model type". So I personally appreciate your point of view & your art greatly. Thank you much ":0).

Well 80% of the women I've shot are not the typical model type, hence why I enjoy it so damn much, just adore them all.

If you were to substitute the word "fat" with the word "old", you would be talking about me. People who are called "fat" can change that "if they want to. OLD is something everyone is going to be, and you can not change that. OLD is in your future.

WrongState In reply to GPensanti [2011-05-07 19:43:03 +0000 UTC]
Umm, if you did substitute the word, then you'd miss the whole point. The point that was layed out in my comments block. In my job, I'm considered old, and pretty much past my prime, at 41, I can still do most of what the young folk can do, and look better doing it. So in short, no I wouldn't change a thing, age is inevitable, there is no denying that aspect, but weight, is most things people can control, I say most, not all.

Loved the poem, and think it applies to many things. I know that there is nothing that can be done about age, and that we can do something about our bodies. Being hurt by others about who we are or what we are is a painful part of life. I think it great that "young people" like yourself think beyond the limited thinking of most of society. OH, and by the by; I do experience prejudice on a daily basis............lol lol. I am 76 years old, and the truth is; life is still the greatest and this is a wonderful part of life that I would not want to miss...........thanks for your note.........Geno

Well it's funny, even at 41 I get a bit of discrimination, there is a group that I belong to, that only allows 18-29 at some of their meetings, I've asked why, I've been told, and I understand, just enjoy hanging out with the younger crowd, my age seems a bit too depressing for me. And I know about the hurt, even one woman that I WAS married to used to critisise me alot, even with the way I look, she still did it, for years. I still enjoy the way I look, however there is still that nagging voice in the back of my head...
you are welcome, keep rock'n

I can speculate many reasons why, parents, media, bullies in high school, so many reasons. I've never figured it out, I just want people to know that there are those out here that feel opposite of that stereotype

The way I see it, the sooner people realize this the better things will get. Especially for those left on the wayside by a hollywood stereotype. I guess all we really can do is simply speak our minds and work to have our voices heard. With any luck, it just might make a difference... So says the optimist within me.

And that little gem of knowledge coming from a 22year old whelp. Not one photograph in your gallery, to show you have what it takes to pass that ideal to others, What little do you know of the actual human condition to pass that judgement. Humans are natural, not all humans are made the same, that's like trying to compare a Sinai Bedowin to a North pole Inuit.

WrongState In reply to Fering [2009-05-19 01:45:58 +0000 UTC]
I don't care what your excuse is. And just cause you have a camera doesn't mean you'll either have good models or shoot worthy photos. So you have no right to come onto my page and throw this immaturely educated accusation. Have you even looked at the models I've shot, most are good friends, a couple ex girlfriends, that I respect. So the name I gave you is minor compared to what I'd of said in person.

Fering In reply to WrongState [2009-05-19 02:18:12 +0000 UTC]
There's a mistake then, I wasn't calling your models that. My post had meant to be an agreement with you, but instead you'd rather chew apart someone when the post was accidentally vague.

Ah, see, the sad part about what you initially said was, a few of my friends read that first comment, and took it the same way I did. So, lets back up a bit. You support my work, and the women I shoot?

Fering In reply to WrongState [2009-05-20 02:28:00 +0000 UTC]
I am sorry that I poorly worded my response, I didn't mean for it to be vague like that or possibly have double meanings. I haven't looked fully at your gallery yet to know if I support your work or not yet, but I do support the models, they all look healthy. I would say its when model's risk their healthy to be beautiful that that definition of beautiful should no longer apply. Any model who's willing to be part of art should be supported.

And that I do agree with you. So many models I've shot that are healthy, by any standard, and a few that could use a few more cookies or some pasta. life is funny this way. I do appreciate you taking the time to clearify.

I saw, and you've got an amazing favorites gallery, and thank you for adding one of my own photos to it along with this Prose. exactly, curves are real, and gorgeous, even the Barbi type women notice that I like to shoot mostly bigger women, and they love it. I seriously hope I can continue it forever. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to view my work.
