Description This wonderful woman got to sit for me at the beginning of the month, and I finally got "somewhat" finished with a commission.
This is the Beautiful "Mela" and this won't be the only set she will sit for me, she's actually agreed to sit for me several more times, The most awesome factor of her is that she is actually close to my age and she Looks great.
There are a few things I did with all these photos, but most was Crop (yeah I need to get away from that) and soften (it's a nice affect) and a bit of background blur, other than that, no manipulation what-so-ever.
I dont' think I do her justice

Mela is indeed a beautiful woman.
I like your series of her. This is a very nice studio posed shot although a bit grainy or lack of resolution.
Perhaps a slight shift in her pose would have been better?
Straighten her shoulders slightly to give a bit of lift to her beautiful breasts, giving more definition to them.
Lovely soft smile on her beautiful face.

I agree she is. I love this critizism, the grain came from poor lighting technique, I'll definitly remember that next time. Thank you for stopping by, and if there is anything else you see in some of the other photographs you may suggest to make it better, I'd be happy to recieve it

Ok, sometimes I am hesitant to comment or offer a critique upon pictures as some people take offense easily.
I try to always be respectful and if I see where someone can benefit by a comment then why not. I'm always making mistakes and that's why I always take lots of pics...in hopes of 'hitting' with one or two.

Oh I understand, I actually think I might post a blog or journal on a guy that has a horrble tendacy to belittle people just cause he want's to make himself sound alot more intellegent, far from constructive, I actually like it when someone has something to add about my photos, I'll take whatever critisism you have, I say it's all about tact.
Oh I'm all about taking loads of photos just to get a couple good ones.. heck I took 260 of Tiff and I'm still editing I"m half way through and I've got 9 good ones. but then I took 15 of Eri and 9 came out great, just the way it goes...

I so appreciate that, I needed that, cause right now theres a photographer out of Canada, [link] that is totally ripping on my models and my techniques, all cause I support an amature phtographer and a friend in what she does.. and apparently he hates bigger women, I don't understand cause he aint' small himself, and also cause I really don't care how I do my photos, just that I keep improvin with each one, oh the funny thing is, he was making fun of me cause I have a mid range point and shoot camera, whats funny is - An old friend from Chicago is selling me her Rebel at a quarter of the price, for incouraging her to go to college, to continue with art, to stay in college and now that she has a company sponsering her and giving her new equipment, so I get the rebel.. NICE

Good going on getting the Rebel...they're nice cameras.
As for the online snob...I find there are a lot of people who are unfairly critical and mean online. I do not know why other than they're showing lack of character.
I think it's great people share work online here with whatever camera they happen to own.
I saw a tv program where a top line fashion model photographer did his work with a little point and shoot instamatic film camera.....it's not in the camera it's in the 'eye'.
Keep up the good work, I for one totally enjoy it.

ah man I totally agree, I wouldn't be able to do what I do, if I was just some pervert off the street, heck the other night I was doing a shoot with a 16yo, and everyone knows what kinda of photography I do, but it's totally different with underage, I set all the rules they sign the consent form, and her guardian took off, which made me nervous, now I've got this 16yo girl and I'm shooting her, I asked her like 20 times if she felt okay doing this, she didn't get nervous, she did great, she was nicely animated and didn't do anything that would be considered wrong to the Moral majority, without a hitch, nice. a change of pace, I'll be posting her on here as well, with consent form of course... oh and not even close to being nude, fully clothed, nothing suggestive, ain't my style with kids.

Hey,
Don't you think you could be making a mistake in photographing a minor w/o the guardian present??
Mostly should be ok with people who are responsible but all it takes is one teen to fabricate something and your world will be shot all to s@#t.
I'm saying this as an outsider...never have done a photo shoot in my life.....but I know human nature.
Just be careful I guess is all I am saying.

Oh I agree, I wasn't happy with the guardian leaving at all, and yes it would be human nature for one teen to fabricate a story like that, I've heard the horror stories, and I'm still under a bit of pressure thinking about it, and the possibilities, here is clincher, not once did I touch her not even in a friendly manner, not once did I touch her to give her direction, normally I don't touch models anyways, but this one specifically. and when it came to certain shots, I told her why I'd shoot at certain angles cause of her age, i kept reminding her that everything we're doing is oriented towards her age. So lesson learned, that will be the last time forever that any parent or guardian was allowed to leave. I can't do that again, too much pressure... whats funny is I think she was more at-ease with what was going on than I was.
