Latest Joe commission, the Dreadnoks.The basic idea was to do a modern take on the 'Noks, and keep 'em somewhat realistic. Basically no belly shirts and chainsaw guns. Also wanted to stay away from the og vibe that all the 'Noks were a buncha goofy dipshits. Figured a lot of these guys were ex-military, well trained, competent dudes....basically mercs with some "one percenter" biker ties.
This piece is pretty big, 15"x50", so I broke it up into three images so the details could be seen. First up is Zandar, Zartan, and Zarana.

Hello there Wry1, I hope you don't mind but I colored this one in as it was just too bad-ass not to and am an original Joe fan from the '80s and just had to color this. Love this idea of a modern version of the 'Noks and just love the pieces you did. Hope you like it. On to Da 'Noks 2...

I love the this verison! If anyone looked at the orgianl bios in any of the resource books , it states that most of the `Noks were ex-military. Many of the biggest and baddest biker gangs founded by vets. One of the many reason why Larry Hama is still a legend. The man knows his stuff.

Really impressive re-imagining of the Dreadknoks. I think you really took this to a cool place. The details are amazing the tattoos, kit, and weapons. Great stuff man. Really like the Zarana and Zandar.

Thanks man, glad ya dig! The commish was just for greyscale, just the graphite. I would like to see this colored for sure though, hopefully I'll get dome time to take a crack at 'em soon...ish.
