There is an extremely large reactor bulge on the underside of the ship in order to power all of its components.
The Paralyzer-class Star Dreadnought (informally *Paralyzer*-class Super Star Destroyer) has a 350 meter diameter Mega Ion cannon derived from technology reverse-engineered from the *Subjugator*-class Heavy Cruiser (a.k.a. Malevolence.)
Designed and built during the Galactic Civil War after the destruction of the first Death Star. Only a few of these dreadnoughts were made, however with its lack of numbers it makes up in deadliness- capable of pulling entire rebel fleets out of hyperspace at once, and then disabling them with its relatively quickly charging spinal-mounted Ion Cannon, and then swiftly either destroy or deploy boarding craft. Some of these ships ended up being captured by the Rebels and later the New Republic, however due to its high maintenance costs and vast crew requirements, most ended up being mothballed, deserted, or destroyed in battle.
