The tens of spades make a great table-cloth, and, as tinkwig already said, the combination with the black rooks makes a pleasing visual experience. I like the haiku too.

I really like this. The spades on the playing cards are like upside-down hearts, and are black like the rooks - everything visual works together with the haiku.
