Description
GRYGON. Once a creature of darkness, ruthless, cunning,flesh-eater, and blood shedder among the rest of his own kind. Until during a great battle in 1749 between light and dark.
The alliances of both military and religion. It was then when
an old yet brave preist stood up and decided that "If one is the divine of Darkness then thou shall be taken away into the divine and be shown to the Light". This was when
Grygon was ambushed, trapped and expossed to a beam of light. Wether by God or the Priest, it was unforsure. It
would have killed Grygon but instead he was given a rapturous heart, mind, and soul. To this day he has no recall
of any of his dark past nor shows any signs of his darkerside. He has developed a close freindship with an 8 year old girl whom he saved from a demonic cult in 1799.
It is inconclusive of where that Scyth came from(which I have not figured out yet).It too was once a dark relic but now by God's loving and mighty hands it has been transformed into a divine weapon of good and none but the purest of heart and soul can wield it's might. It's been said that by gods hands the Scyth contains hidden knowledge of the universe, the cosmos, and the heavens.
No man with greedy intentions will ever lay hands upon this knowledge. (Colored)

The little half-moon glasses are adorable!
I do, however, object to the conversion narrative. Not only was there no choice involved, this guy doesn't remember anything before that point? Redemption is not meaningful that way.

Hmmm. Then I might have to fix that. If you could give me some ideas.

Well...
The archetype is present in Paul's moment at the road to Damascus. The higher power yelled at him and blinded him, but didn't force the decision. And then afterward, Paul refers periodically to his history, including being a Roman citizen and freaking out his captors.

Regrets are a useful dramatic device. People from before the redemption can show up and be more than a Space Flea Out Of Nowhere.
(The next line contains a link to TVTropes, you have been warned.)
[link] is a good place to start exploring redemption narratives.

Let me ask you something.. Which takes the longest person to complete? The entire character design (such as this Grygon art peice) or the entire background/backstory for the character
hmmm?

Very interesting looking character, the overall design is very neat! Not sure what to say about the tail though.
The story is very good too.

Ooh. Okay, um... It really depends on the person. For me the designing part is easier. Sometimes the whole idea just falls right into right into place and you just have to tweak it, while other times you just get the basic idea and have to work at it. If you're like me, you design you creations as if they're real, like they could really exist and function in reality. Judging what's too much or not enough when you're alone can be difficult. Overworking an idea is a danger, too; I've lost one or two good ideas from working them to death.
Personally, the background stories tend to be harder. Making it interesting without sounding corny or over the top, getting enough detail without explaining every little thing, making sure it's not too long, correct grammer(VERY IMPORTANT), and making it realistic. Sometimes if you have the main idea of a character, you create their background story first and use it help with the design. Sometimes you have to change the story a lot, like with my characters here {[link] [link] }{[link] }{[link] } I've worked their backgrounds several times over as the overall story develops.
That's my opinion.

So basiclly, the it's the background/backstories that are the hardest to complete correct?

Pretty much, yeah, at least for me. Although the background stories are easier and faster to alter.
