Just wanted to share a variation of the original "Tree Light" picture [link]This one is wide open, so the background is less aggressive, quite peaceful actually I think.

Wonderful soft colors - this picture makes me happy. I like how you changed the background from the original - it makes it less messy and more dreamy. Adds more focus to the subject. Great job!

Just so you know, I did not really "change" the background by photo-manipulation (if it is what you think). It is just another picture of the same subject, with the lens aperture wide open (f/1.4), which gives the creamy look.

Love the colors in this, especially how you positioned the tree branches to act as a sort of border between the yellows, reds, and blues in the background. The light/pale hues, bokeh, depth of field, and the shape of the branches also come together to give the composition a very nice, fantasy/magical feel, too. x) Great photo.

Actually it's what a love about it. Sometimes you can spend a lot of time trying to get a great picture and nothing comes out. Sometimes it's a snapshot that turns into something amazing
